Free home visiting services provided by Public Health Nurses and/or Family Home Visitors to help young children get a healthy start in life - voluntary program for families who may benefit from additional support during pregnancy or any time up until children begin school
- provide support for families with infants or pre-school children who:
- have concerns about their child's growth and development
- would like help building and maintaining a strong bond and connection with their child
- need help adjusting to postpartum changes and parenthood
- want to better understand their new baby and how to respond to them
- have other needs that make pregnancy and parenting challenging like housing, finances, their own health, being new to Canada
